Just when it looked as if the Chicago White Sox's longest winning streak in 49 years would end quietly, the Southsiders made their crosstown rivals work hard to avoid a series sweep. The White Sox scored three times in the ninth off Cubs closer Carlos Marmol before he struck out Alex Rios swinging with the tying runs on base to preserve an 8-6 victory on Sunday.
