The Chicago Cubs have started the process of replacing manager Lou Piniella by interviewing former Indians manager Eric Wedge, according to ESPNChicago.com. Wedge reportedly had a face-to-face interview with Cubs general manager Jim Hendry in Cleveland on Thursday. Piniella managed his final game with the team on Sunday and interim manager Mike Quade has since taken over. Wedge managed in Cleveland from 2003-2009 and won the American League Manger of the Year in 2007, when he managed the Indians to within one game of the World Series.
