Cubs general manager Jim Hendry says he had lunch with Ryne Sandberg but did not formally interview the Hall of Famer for the manager's job. They dined together this week in Albuquerque, where the Triple-A Iowa affiliate was playing. Sandberg, the legendary Cubs second baseman, manages the club and is a candidate to take over in Chicago after the season.
